Focus areas

Daniel advises companies, business associations, NGOs, public institutions and international organisations on human rights due diligence, sustainable corporate governance and sustainability compliance.

As a senior advisor at Deutsche Bahn, he champions compliance with sustainability due diligence legislation. He designs methodologies, processes and tools for implementation and accompanies their application in complex cases across the Group and departments.

Daniel is lead European legal advisor to the Responsible Contracting Project (Rutgers Law School), a member of the European Working Group on the Model Contract Clauses for Responsible and Sustainable Supply Chains (EMC) and teaches business & human rights at universities in Germany and abroad.

Background

Daniel studied law at the University of Konstanz in Germany and obtained an LL.M. from Universidad Santo Tomás in Bogotá, Colombia. He also completed a Certificate in Sustainable Business Management at the University of Cambridge.
